How to Watch City vs United Free Online

There are several ways you can watch Community Shield 2024 free online.

• Watch Community Shield 2024 free via Official Apps
• Watch Community Shield 2024 via free Streaming Apps

In this guide, we’ll show you several apps where you can watch the game.

How to Watch Community Shield 2024 Using Official Apps

There are several apps that will allow you to watch the Community Shield 2024 free online.

Watch the Community Shield via ITVX

ITV has the broadcast rights for the 2024 Community Shield Manchester City vs. Manchester United. The channel will broadcast the match free-to-air and on its streaming platform, ITVX. The best part is that it’s completely free; you only need to create an account.

However, if you are outside the UK, you’ll need to use a streaming VPN such as IPVanish. The platform only gives access to users in the region and blocks most VPN services. This means that you need to choose the right one, but you won’t have any issues when using IPVanish.

Watch the Community Shield via ESPN+

ESPN+ will air the 2024 FA Community Shield in the US. The streaming platform is sports-oriented and provides a wide array of sports, including football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, hockey, wrestling, and more. To watch the match, you’ll need an active subscription, which costs $10.99 or $109.99 per year.

Besides that, ESPN+ is geo-restricted, and it’s only available to users in the US. If you try to access it from a different region, you’ll be blocked. That is unless you have a reliable streaming VPN such as IPVanish. Connect to a server in the country, and you’ll be good.

How to Watch City vs United using Streaming Apks

If you feel the above methods are not suitable for whatever reason, you can always enjoy the use of free streaming apps. These apps come with various channels that will be broadcasting the 2024 Community Shield, so you can use them to watch the match.

However, free streams come with some precautions.

Free Streaming Precautions

While there are lots of free streaming options for City vs United, some of the links you find on free streaming apks are pirated. Accessing such streams is illegal and can land you in trouble with your ISP and even the government.

👉This means that if you wish to stream Manchester City vs Manchester United using free links, you need to protect yourself with a VPN. A VPN helps keep you safe by encrypting your online activities to ensure nobody can know what you are watching. It also spoofs your IP address, making you anonymous.

✋ However, the protection and quality of streaming you get also depend on the VPN you choose.

With that out of the way, below are some free streaming apps you can use to watch Community Shield 2024 free online.

Kodi

Kodi is an all-in-one streaming platform that allows users to watch pretty much anything available online. The media center doesn’t come with any ready-to-stream content, but you can set it up by installing various Kodi addons. These can be addons that offer sports, live TV, movies, TV shows, etc.

In our case, it’s sports and live TV. There are several Kodi addons that will allow you to watch the match, but here are our best four and how to install them:

• SportHD – How to Install SportHD Kodi Addon
• Mad Titan Sports – How to Install Mad Titan Sports
• The Loop – How to Install The Loop Kodi Addon
• Rising Tides – How to Install Rising Tides Kodi Addons

Installing a Kodi addon will only take you a few minutes. Once you’re done, you can watch a wide array of sports without any adverts.

HD Streamz

HD Streamz is more straightforward than Kodi. It falls in the category of free streaming apks as it’s a purely Android app that provides free live TV streams. The app comes with a fantastic interface that organizes content in an easily accessible manner.

The top page is a list of live and upcoming events, and there’s a category for FA Community Shield. This section has the particular game, City vs United. Clicking on the event will give you several links to choose from.

If you’d like to select a specific broadcaster, that option is also available. There’s a Live TV section that lists channels and also gives users various filters such as Sports, Live Events, Music, and Movies. Select Sports, and you should find whatever channel you are looking for.

Rapid Streamz

Rapid Streamz is another fantastic app for watching Man City vs United free online. The app offers multiple ways of streaming live events, making it quite popular. On the main page, you’ll find several sports genres. These include All Football Leagues, NBA, UFC, Golf, Baseball, Boxing, Hockey, Tennis, NFL, and Motorsports.

The All Football Leagues option is the go-to section. Here, the first option is the FA Community Shield, which is what we are looking for. The others are Bundesliga, EFL, La Liga, Premier League, etc. Clicking on the FA Community Shield will show the game and give you links to watch it free on Firestick.

TVMob Pro

TVMob Pro is our other recommendation, as it’s a fantastic free streaming app. One of the best things about it is that it provides 1-click links that are very reliable, and it’s rare to find dead links, something that is synonymous with free streaming apks.

TVMob has a list of live TV channels that range between 700 and 900. These are sourced from different regions and arranged in alphabetical order on the main page. Each is then denoted with the language and country of origin.

To watch City vs United, you can scroll down to the channel you’d like. Otherwise, you can use the app’s menu, which filters channels based on categories. Selecting Sports will only give you relevant channels.

Team Preview

Manchester City

Manchester City pipped Arsenal to the Premier League title last season in a closely contested title race between the two teams. Pep Guardiola’s side won the title on the last day with a two-point advantage and also managed to get to the FA Cup finals.

After the summer break, City have played pre-season friendlies against Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea. However, it hasn’t been a very positive one, with the team only winning against Chelsea. Since then, the likes of Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, Bernardo Silva, Kevin de Bruyne, Jeremy Doku, Rodri, John Stones, and Kyle Walker have come back and are expected to be on the team sheet.

Manchester United

Manchester United had a 2023/24 season that fell way below expectations, as they only managed to end the season in eighth position. The team was marred by injuries and sub-par performances, resulting in the management seeking a new manager. However, Eric Ten Hag somehow managed to retain his position.

A key part of that is winning the FA Cup last season, beating none other than Manchester City. United scored two goals in the first half courtesy of youngsters Alejandro Garnancho and Kobbie Mainoo. City only managed to score through Jeremy Doku in the 87^th minute.

In the pre-season, United also had below-par performances, only winning two out of five games. They lost against Rosenborg, Arsenal, and Liverpool, only winning against Rangers and Real Betis. After the matches, players who have joined the squad are Lisandro Martinez, Alejandro Garnancho, Luke Shaw, and Kobbie Mainoo. They are expected to be on the match day squad, although there are questions about the fitness of Harry Maguire and Johnny Evans. New signing Lenny Yoro and long-term absentee Tyrell Malacia have already been ruled out.

Final Thoughts

The FA Community Shield usually acts as the curtain raiser to a new football season, especially the Premier League. This year, it’s a rematch of the last game in England, the FA Cup. Man City will be looking for revenge, while United will be looking to get off to the best season start possible after the changes of new ownership. The guide above provides several options you can use to watch the match for free.

However, note that most of them will need you to have a reliable VPN, such as IPVanish, whether to unblock streaming services or stay safe.

Enjoy the game!
