2024/25 Premier League Season Preview

Arsenal were the standout performers from last season before they slipped slightly and lost the title to Manchester City on the last day of the season. Throughout the 2023/24 season, Arteta’s men looked like the team to beat, although a rough patch towards the end of 2023 saw them drop significant points. They lost the title by a painful two points.

Behind them were Liverpool in their last season with Jurgen Klopp. The Merseysiders kept pace until around February when they lost several games. They now have a new manager in Arne Slot, and it will be interesting to see whether they can keep the dynamic they’ve shown over the years.

Aston Villa finished fourth and Spurs fifth, with Chelsea sixth and Manchester United a paltry eighth. However, United are expected to go up a gear this season with new ownership and several exciting recruits. They will most likely be battling for fourth with Spurs or even take third if Liverpool slips under the new manager.
